Claudio Grass, born in 1971, completed an apprenticeship in the tourism industry.
In 1992, he joined the airline industry and held various management positions in corporate sales at American Airlines, KLM and Continental Airlines.
The crash of the .com bubble and the events of 9/11 led to Grass serving as a Swiss officer for the United Nations in Israel and Syria for 2 years from 2004 - 2006. In his role as liaison officer between the UN and the Syrian authorities and the related experiences on the ground, he realized that supranational organizations as well as central governments are never the solution but always the problem. During this time he became friends with Ferdinand Lips, through whom he discovered Wilhelm Röpke, Friedrich August von Hayek as well as the brilliant Ludwig von Mises and the brilliant Murray Rothbard. Grass is a strong advocate of a non-central, liberal economic and social order. The protection of private property and the principles of non-aggression are central to this.
Back from the Middle East in 2007, he moved to Prague for six months. There he worked in business development for two Swiss companies. One involved setting up a branch office in the Czech Republic and a market study on aircraft manufacturing companies in CZ/PL/RU.
Back in Switzerland, he managed the Swiss branch for Logitech as Sales Manager from 2007 - 2010.
From 2011 to 2017, he entered the physical precious metals sector and helped set up the Swiss solution Global Gold as CEO. This traded physical precious metals on behalf of the client and stored them in the format of choice outside the banking system in private triple-A high security storage facilities.
2017 Step into independence and founding of “Claudio Grass, Independent Precious Metals Consultancy. His clients include entrepreneurs and private individuals from all over the world who have understood that owning physical gold and silver in particular offers a sensible alternative as protection against the coming crash. His mission is to recommend the ideal solution based on the wishes of the individual client and to support the client during the process. At the same time, Grass sees himself as a unbiased observer with the aim of ensuring the highest possible protection of his clients' private property. Assessing changes in the area of security and suggesting alternatives if necessary are part of his service.
Since 2017, he has been an ambassador for the Ludwig von Mises Institute in Auburn, Alabama.
Since 2024 CEO and co-founder of Swissgrams. A company that issues digital property titles/receipts for stored physical gold in Switzerland. The aim is to offer a large number of people the opportunity to own and save physical gold at the lowest possible cost. Private ownership is protected by Swiss law.
Claudio speaks German and English and spends a lot of time reading. He also enjoys daily walks with his two dogs in the beautiful nature of central Switzerland.
